Displaying the ORCID associated with an entry is not that helpful - these are not memorable! The real name associated with an ORCID can be cached when used, and prioritised over the ORCID for display (with the ORCID used as back-up). The ORCID remains as the primary meta-data.

Search by ORCID is fine to avoid the complications of name matching.
