online map is not displaying when select "Basemap" show. #176

I have a sequence file (fasta) and node file (csv). in node file there are three columns: BC, location, and sample. BC is working as ID which is corresponding to the header line in sequence file. location has state and county information. when I try to view map, select online map and choose Basemap, there is nothing displayed.

Hey @newuser1971! Thanks for the bug report. I have a couple of quick questions for you:

  1. What's the URL of the MicrobeTrace instance you're using (i.e. is it https://microbetrace.cdc.gov/MicrobeTrace or something else?)
  2. When you say there's nothing displayed, do you mean that you don't see any map, or that your data doesn't get rendered on the map?
  3. Is it possible to split your County and State data into separate columns? MicrobeTrace doesn't have an arbitrary geocoder, so it expect geospatial data in a pretty limited set of pretty rigid formats. If you break your "location" column into separate "State" and "County" columns, you're much more likely to get (close to) the visual you're looking for,

For 1. I use your URL in Firefox; For 2. I have 29 data points (sequences) but nothing displayed in offline mode and for online mode even map didn't show; For 3. I just split the Location column into County and State with four counties are blank for states NY,VT,PA and GA. And my data doesn't get rendered on the map.

If need, I can provide my sequences file and nodes file.

sorry. Now the 29 data points are displayed. But there is no map in "Online" mode which I chose the "Basemap".
