Enterprise Data Exchange (DEX) is a new cloud-native centralized data ingestion, validation, and observation service scoped for common data types (HL7, FHIR, CDA, XML, CSV) sent to the CDC. It helps public health stakeholders who send data to the CDC while reducing the maintenance efforts, complexity, and duplication of ingestion points to CDC.
The goals are to expand the POC FHIR Solution to perform the following:
[x] Send a sample Health Care Survey reporting bundle to FHIR service
[x] Validate the content bundle against the Health Care Survey validation profiles (with reporting bundle from #126)
[x] Export flattened data to test Data Lake, and
[x] Run Synapse Analytics queries on exported data, with full observability.
Microsoft will also update the logical architecture so that we have 2 dated versions - one version illustrating the use of a logic app for manual exports, and a version showing the use of an Azure function for triggered exports of incoming healthcare survey data.
NOTE: We will not be working on CDC subscription infrastructure this sprint because Aaron Grant will be out on PTO for 2 weeks.
We will purpose the meeting that Mai has already schedule for Thursday, 1/26 called "Twice weekly Daily Scrum” in order to review and discuss the associated user stories for the sprint covering 1/26 to 2/8.
