This PR:

• [x] Clarifies the content of the project.
• [x] Simplifies the front page of the repository.
• [x] Uses the README.md file to generate the website index.rst file (and adds a note about it).
• [x] Removes unused website sections (cleaner look).
• [x] Adds documentation for the datasets module.
• [x] Uses __future__.annotations that guarantees using type aliases instead of their extensions.
• [x] Puts the links to the tutorials up front.
• [x] Adds links to the GitHub repo.
