STLT Disparity Audit and Prioritization

Intended outcome: To identify ~10 STLTs to investigate at a more granular level.

Deliverable: A summary of each of ~10 STLTs that includes

• Disparity data
• Rationale for why that STLT was selected

In scope:

• STLT level analysis
• Focused on these social determinants of health: Income inequality, access to healthcare, race/ethnicity
• Overall population

Out of scope:

• Specific condition analysis
• Locality analysis
• Other social determinants of health (unless necessary due to insufficient findings in the prioritized data

Acceptance Criteria:

• Analysis of all 64 ELC-funded STLTs
• Ranking of STLTs based on analysis
• Selection of ~10 STLTs for a deeper dive
• Summary of each of the ~10 selected STLTs
• Reviewed with Max, Chris and Jillian

Pinning for later discussion: Different approaches needed for analyzing state, territory, and metro disparities. This may suggest some further discussion to answer questions like, "all territories face unique inequities in how data is collected, shared and used. should they be targeted as a group?" or "The metro STLTs have more resources to address health disparities than smaller, rural localities within STLTs. should they be prioritized over ELC funded cities?". Basically, the original approach only works at the state level.
