Goal To align on approaches to various design processes

Background We are a new and growing design team that spans across three different scrum teams, so it's important we align on process and structure for visibility, clarity, and consistency.

Approach We have prioritized some of the activities and processes that need definition (see Mural here), reflected by the ticket work inside this epic.

The first chunk of processes we will define fall into the following categories

  1. Tools: defining labels, columns, templates, and points in Zenhub
  2. Collaboration: content & design, reviews and approvals, and design & engineering

Assumptions This is ongoing work to be iterated on as we continue to grow and flesh out our processes.

Out-of-scope Research processes. These will be defined in a separate research operations epic.

Dependencies and risks This work could go on forever! We need to determine how far we want to take this chunk of work.

We will be successful if...

  1. Our team agrees that the processes we've outlined help make our workflow and collaboration more effective and efficient.
  2. All design team members understand the processes we've outlined and are able to implement the processes in their everyday work

@lizzieamanning This epic seems to be around standardizing processes and procedures for the Design team. If so, is this a project captured on your Design roadmap somewhere? I can create a project on the roadmap in Zenhub to match.
