Find a sender for DEX integration #9242

User Story:

As ReportStream, a router of data, I need to identify a sender that can send either HL7 or FHIR (preferably FHIR) so I can route it to DEX.

Description/Use Case

The original plan for DEX integration was to onboard BDVeritor to UP and have them send us FHIR and we translate it to HL7v2 for DEX/HHSProtect. Since then, BDVeritor has pulled out of onboarding as just a covid sender to the covid pipeline and we need to either:

  1. confirm they want to onboard as a FHIR sender
  2. find another sender to send us FHIR/HL7 OTC Covid data.

We haven't worked through the policy approvals to send the CDC something other than OTC covid data, so if we find another sender, we can only accept OTC data from them OR we need to hash out the policy approvals.

We are also sending MPox data to another system in the CDC, should we look into this instead? What sender is sending data there? Should we use them for the integration pilot?

Need to ask NIH if they could share a list of potential DEX senders that use OTC Covid data. OTC Covid data is considered as at-home non-proctored tests from device manufacturers.
