Why are we doing this?

With our rapidly increasing user base, and uptick in production incidents, user trust and communication is of utmost importance. We would like to implement a solution that allows us to communicate system status and incident information to multiple stakeholders.

Action requested

• Create a trial Atlassian Statuspage
• Explore possible integrations
• Create documentation for development and support teams
• Research integration of the Statuspage widget into our maintenance banner or on the homepage
• Research updating the maintenance banner to link to the newly-created statuspage

Due to recent OCIO requirements surrounding third-party systems, implementation of this ask is going to be a non-starter without undergoing a lengthy approval process that may take months. Re-icing this for the time being.
