An in-development R package and a Bayesian hierarchical model jointly fitting multiple "local" wastewater data streams and "global" case count data to produce nowcasts and forecasts of both observations
Current vignette uses both defaults and example sets of parameters/delay distributions, making it not super clear how someone would modify these for a different pathogen, to update parameters as estimates change, or to modify for a different count data type.
Requirements:
[ ] separate parameters that are disease-specific and should be specified by the user from default parameters which are more internal and can likely stay the same across pathogens and use-cases
[ ] improve documentation around default parameters and example parameters
[ ] create a vignette that explains how to modify the modifiable parameters
Context
@akeyel indicated that it isn't current super clear how to deviate from the defaults/examples in the vignette, and would be good to show a user how to do so
Goal
Current vignette uses both defaults and example sets of parameters/delay distributions, making it not super clear how someone would modify these for a different pathogen, to update parameters as estimates change, or to modify for a different count data type.
