@lweakly it won't be super easy to do programmatically unless if we change the ingest script, which can be done. Probably better to do it there than on the website end. Let me know if you think it would be better to change it on ingest or in the TEI.
updated list, needs to be changed in documents
Buffalo Bill on Film
Buffalo Bill on Stage
Buffalo Bill the Man = Buffalo Bill Himself
Buffalo Bill’s Wyoming
Congress of Rough Riders
Lakota Performers
Roosevelt's Rough Riders
Wild West in England = Buffalo Bill's Wild West in Britain
Wild West in Germany = Buffalo Bill's Wild West in Germany
Wild West in Italy & Spain = Buffalo Bill's Wild West in Italy & France
TEI <term></term>
VRA <display></display>
Laura says "Spain" not "France"
Done, then updated for newer terminology here: https://github.com/CDRH/data_cody/commit/2a167343a224672bdd3feb6202b5b2f50b527076
Doug has sent some new text for the new topics page:
https://drive.google.com/drive/folders/1c1HABWv_sYqGrumYuTztvQIDv-XmqVWL
Reindex to include multiple topics for one file. VRA have been encoded with semicolon delimiters between topics.
Cody Archive Topics page new topics:
Buffalo Bill the Man Buffalo Bill’s Wyoming
Lakota Performers Roosevelt’s Rough Riders
Wild West in England Wild West in Germany
Wild West in Italy & Spain Congress of Rough Riders
Buffalo Bill on Stage Buffalo Bill on Film
Everything from the current "Empire" category should now go in "Buffalo Bill's Wyoming" -- if this can be done programmatically that would be great. If not, I can do it by hand.
All the other topics have been encoded.
Eventually: The subsequent pages would feature a brief essay that is illustrated with selected archival content and would acknowledge the granting agency/private donors and provide a link to the filtered archival content.
If this is not possible right away, we should at least get the new categories added.
Doug will send us new blurbs and new images. But I could come up with stand-in text and images if we need it right away
If you have any questions about this, please let me know.
