CEDStandards / CEDS-Elements

The Common Education Data Standards (CEDS) are an education data management initiative whose purpose is to streamline the understanding of data within and across P-20W institutions and sectors. CEDS includes a common vocabulary complete with standard elements names, definitions, and option sets. This repository contains all the CEDS elements, definitions, option sets and their definitions, and entities and definitions. Its purpose is to expand that vocabulary to meet the needs of every education stakeholder. The expanded vocabulary is then added to the CEDS Integration Data Store and CEDS Data Warehouse – the other two repositories located here.

CEDS has other elements from which this info could be derived. e.g. "Professional or Technical Credential Conferred", "PESC Award Level Type", "Degree or Certificate Type", and "Academic Award Level Conferred" (Note: Some are not listed in the Credential domain of the DES and probably should be.)

Consider use of existing item(s) and making "CPT Training Level Code" and alternate name with a usage note about valid options OR make it a connection.

If it does become a new element it should be named "Curricular Practical Training Level Type" to best fit CEDS naming conventions. ("CPT Training Level Code" can be added as an alternate name for search-ability.)
