Use Case Title Add Existing CEDS Element “Exit Grade Level” to Workforce Program Participant > Program Participation
Use Case Description Exit Grade Level – 000100 - https://ceds.ed.gov/element/001210
Use Case Background The Workforce Workgroup proposes the addition of the “Exit Grade Level” data element to the Workforce domain (Workforce | Workforce Program Participant | Program Participation). This should be defined as “The grade level or primary instructional level which a student has achieved at time of program exit.” Option set should be the same as in https://ceds.ed.gov/element/001210
We need to know this information because many Workforce Program Participants with lower education levels may have additional challenges meeting program requirements or attaining family sustaining employment, may require additional case management services or accommodations, may qualify for additional program supports, and may have different program requirements and outcomes. Additionally, Workforce Programs may have specific outcome measures ties to funding that are based on Participant educational attainment.
Location of Element in the Domain Entity Schema Workforce> Workforce Program Participant > Program Participation
