Use Case Title Enrollment status option needed for no-shows
Use Case Description Need a way to capture the status of a student who registers for enrollment and is put on the rolls for a LEA/school but does not attend when expected (referred to as a no-show). Also need to capture the date of the enrollment status, as it may not be tied to an entry or exit record.
Use Case Background When students register to enroll at a school district, the LEA enters an enrollment record and starts tracking attendance from the date of expected enrollment. After a set number of days (determined by the district), if the student does not attend, they consider the student a no-show. When the LEA marks a student as a no-show in their SIS, it removes the enrollment and attendance records related to the expected enrollment period. At the SEA level, we need to be able to identify these students and remove any stored attendance and enrollment data relating to the expected enrollment.
