"Add Smart Modifier" --> "Mirror" Doesn't Work Correctly #4

Version: 2.69 x64 Windows. Official Build.

To recreate the issue: 1) Load Default Scene. 2) Shift D duplicate default cube and offset it in y and x directions . 3) Select both cubes 4) Q --> "Add Smart Modifier" ---> "Mirror"

It appears to do nothing at first glance, but upon closer inspection you'll see that a mirror modifier gets added to both objects (Rather than the one active object) , and also neither object's mirror has the other object as the "mirror object".

My understanding was that the expected behaviour was supposed be that it adds the mirror modifier only to the active object, and the other object would simply act as the "mirror object".

It does however work with an empty object as "mirror object"! (selecting empty first, then your cube... cube ends up being mirrored about empty centre). It just doesn't work if you select two mesh objects.

This is the same as #4, it only works with Empties by design. I'll work to clarify this more.
