Which Google API and version (e.g. Google Calendar Data API version 2)?

What format (e.g. JSON, Atom)?

We have a service that allows users to search for products and we want to 
search the products we have been approved for in GAN.

I've looked all over the various Google dev sites for just 1 tiny example of a 
"gan" request using the Search API for Shopping. GAN requests require 
authorization, which makes this even more challenging. Please have mercy on us 
- throw us a sample! Thanks
