Add references to DESCRIPTION file #2

References describing the methods in your package need to be added in the description field of your DESCRIPTION file in the form authors (year) authors (year) authors (year, ISBN:...) or if those are not available: with no space after 'doi:', 'arXiv:', 'https:' and angle brackets for auto-linking. (If you want to add a title as well please put it in quotes: "Title")

Added references to DESCRIPTION FILES as a section

R CMD check --as-cran gives the following NOTE:

Unknown, possibly mis-spelled, fields in DESCRIPTION:
  ‘References’

So I reopen it. Chrys –can you look it up in the internet?

Ok –it was simple. References needed to be added to the Description field of the DESCRIPTION file. There's no References section. So I just moved it to the correct place and that's it.
