(Here I've assumed that you haven't engaged much with neural processes. My apologies if that is incorrect!)

Issue Description:

As part of your fellowship, it will be important to have a conversational understanding of neural processes to engage with other researchers. Mastery of every detail isn't required - it's more about grasping the general concepts and being able to discuss them with your colleagues. Below are some papers that offer context and illustrate diverse applications of neural processes. While they're not focused exclusively on environmental sensor placement, they should help give you a solid background.

In addition to reading, these videos are great supplementary materials to further your understanding:

Advances in Neural Processes

Autoregressive Conditional Neural Processes

For an overview of the neural process landscape, be sure to visit the neural process family website:

This mix of literature and videos should provide a solid foundation for your knowledge of neural processes.
