Complete Great Lakes HPC user login access form #5
Before you can start utilizing the HPC resources for our project, you need to request a user login for the Great Lakes cluster. Please complete the form with the information provided below.
Task:
Go to the Great Lakes User Account Request form at the ITS-ARC service portal. Use your University of Michigan credentials to log in if prompted.
Provide the following information in the form:
Advisor's Name: Dani Jones
Advisor's Email: [DJ's Email]
College or Department: [SEAS CIGLR] (This should auto-populate based on your login)
It is not necessary to add me to the contact list, but you can if you would prefer that
Describe your use case: Mention that you will be working on a CIGLR Summer Fellowship project which involves environmental data analysis. Specifically, mention that you will be using GPUs to train a convolutional Gaussian neural process model using data that is available on the Turbo Research Storage service. You'll be using Python for machine learning with these packages and their dependencies: TensorFlow, DeepSensor. I'd also mention that you'll be using Jupyter Notebooks, just in case you decide to use them. (Your answers shouldn't change your access in any way. It just gives ITS some additional context)
Once you have submitted the form, please comment on this issue that you have done so.
Tag [DaniJonesOcean] in your completion comment for verification.
Next Steps:
After your account is established, we will proceed with testing your ability to run jobs on the HPC. An issue titled "Test DeepSensor Demo on Great Lakes HPC" will follow, where you'll verify your access to our shared computing resources and work through a practical exercise using DeepSensor.
