map-based search -- can't constrain for the current catalog #4

Selecting 'map' as a search option (beneath the text box, upper left) doesn't seem to have any effect on the search results. The search on the map page doesn't include the CINERGI catalog as a search target (as far as I can tell...)-- choices are 'California Geoportal', 'USGIN geoportal' and 'Geoportal sandbox'.
Shouldn't it default to the current catalog?

Steve, this is the old interface, correct? Hopefully switching to the new geoportal shall change the behaviors you mentioned. Dave, Tom?
