Having to install mpi4py and its dependencies (openmpi) is a pain on supercomputing systems and is only needed for pabeam.py and recombine.py. Either those two scripts should be moved to their own repository (or vcstools for recombine.py) or take mpi4py out of setup.py requirements and make it clear that it is an optional dependacy
