Fixes issue #138

A bit messy, but the 'dev' branch now contains the commits from the RMpeakfit_headers and cubenoisenan branches because I need one branch with all updates to be able to use the new updates all together.

I should have put the "fix: keep consistency in fits dtypes" in it's own branch that was not dev...

You live and you learn, I guess.

Everything merged into dev, so the PR is redundant. My fault for not keeping on top of things, sorry.
