Added Gradle build script #22

Added a Gradle build script, build.gradle, to the project. This is not intended to replace the Maven build script but is an attempt to get the regression tests to run on Travis CI.

Closing due to its apparent failure and the apparent success of #23 in fixing the Travis build.
