Job description About Sharesight: Sharesight (www.sharesight.com) is a disruptive fintech providing a cutting-edge application for tracking investment portfolios. We enable DIY investors to take hold of their investments with better automation, analysis and reporting. With 200k+ users we’re a couple of steps beyond the startup phase and are growing quickly in Australia, New Zealand, Canada, the UK, and beyond. We’re a small and diverse organisation with offices in Wellington and Sydney.
Position Overview: We have an exciting opportunity available for a senior devops engineer to join our Wellington based product team.You will need to have a strong foundation in supporting and scaling public-facing web applications. You will take a leading role in developing and maintaining our infrastructure and deployment processes as we continue to scale.
We currently have:
25+ production ECS containers across half a dozen services A Rails backend with some Elixir services The majority of our infrastructure provisioned and maintained via Terraform Responsibilities: You will be working on a range of tasks including:
Analysing, maintaining and implementing AWS infrastructure to meet business needs as we continue to scale. Developing and maintaining our infrastructure provisioning systems along with further streamlining and automating these processes as we grow. Monitoring the health of our application and identifying performance bottlenecks. Analysing, maintaining and improving our deployment processes. Growing and maintaining our web application along with external and internal APIs. Requirements: A passion for software engineering, automation, and operations focusing on reliability, availability and performance. AWS experience. Terraform experience. Experience building and improving CI/CD pipelines. A deep understanding of web application security. Bonus points: Ruby on Rails or Elixir experience. Docker / containers experience. Github Actions experience Terragrunt experience A working knowledge of Datadog. Experience in the fintech industry and an understanding of the share market.
