Job Description
What you will be involved with as a Business Analyst at SG Digital:
You will be working alongside Product Managers, Development Managers, Project Managers, Software Engineers & Test Analysts to shape the technology and product vision of the team that will drive forward our strategic product initiatives.
Opportunity to work directly with the key business stakeholders and Product Owners
The candidate will be skilled in defining and creating both functional and non-functional requirements and in supervising the conversion of these into Agile user stories for use by all members of a software development team.
Key Accountabilities
Create business requirements and define user stories for use by cross-functional teams.
Analyse results of product solutions and report on customer acceptance.
Engage with customers and product managers to define new functionality and document this in user stories.
Communicate with both business and technical colleagues and customers in an appropriate manner and using a range of techniques.
Key Responsibilities
Working with customers to extract business requirements .
Evaluating business problems and proposing solutions to allow customers to meet these, either through software or changes to the existing processes.
Training, walk-throughs and demos of our products and development to customers and how they may be used with existing business practices - else how business practices may be modified to work with our platform.
Serving as a liaison by pro-actively communicating and collaborating with customers and SG Digital development teams to evaluate solutions to customer requirements.
Reconciling conflicts if necessary in an effort to achieve the optimum solution.
Providing excellent verbal and written communication skills whilst interacting with a diverse group of people, internally and externally.
Qualifications
3+ years’ experience as a Business Analyst role in an online industry
Demonstrable experience in defining and implementing comprehensive product strategies for complex IT projects working in Agile environments, with a heavy emphasis on user stories and acceptance criteria through to production deployment, also with focus on non-functional requirements.
Proven communication and presentation skills.
Dealing with change on a daily basis; must be comfortable both with external factors driving this change as well as internals.
Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
Should be opinionated but also data-driven, especially about design and implementation of products.
Experience of SAFe methodology will be considered a plus
