We are looking for an experienced Systems Architect to join our Wellington office; a problem solver who is passionate about open source and can think innovatively and creatively.
You will be joining an established team to play a key role in the ongoing development of a critical system that plays an important role in New Zealand. It is no exaggeration to say that your work will make a significant contribution!
Top-notch communication skills are key, as you will be responsible for the design of services and systems for Catalyst clients which you’ll need to clearly explain to clients and colleagues alike. You need to determine the best approach, with which technologies and confidently communicate why. A commitment to collaborative problem solving, sophisticated design and quality product is extremely important.
Experience with architectural design and technical analysis are essential to this role. You will be setting the quality standard for the team.
You will need forward thinking, and the ability to anticipate change, to work with the team in making sure Catalyst is prepared to evolve and develop. You need to have the technical knowledge to balance compatibility between systems and infrastructure.
Previous experience with other open source software and practices will be a definite advantage as well so please be sure to note these, as well as any open source contributions you've made.
