Categories of different levels all presented on one level #141

Hi, Since on of the latest versions has been installed on our moodle 3.5 the FCL changed the way of displaying and arranging the categories.

Now all categories of different levels are all presented on one level. Before there was a folder/subfolder-structure that allowd our course managing users to select a second level category and after that see the third level categories.

Is there any chance - using the FCL setting or something else - to get back to this functionality?

By the way: we user the following setting:
category | collapsed | 0 (top level) | 0 (all descendants)

Best, Ingo

Hi Ingo,

Can you let me know which versions of the FCL I should compare in order to see the difference you are describing?

Thanks, Kevin

Hi Ingo,

I'm sorry to come back with more questions, but I'm having difficulty understanding what you are describing. Can you tell me the old version you were using so that I can compare the two? In particular I can't recall that the Filtered Course List ever supported more than one level of organization, but I'm not the only one who ever worked on it, and my memory may just be wrong.

Or I may just misunderstand what you are trying to accomplish. Can you make a screenshot of the old layout you are trying to recreate? Or a diagram of some kind?
