Dropdown menu when labelling constructs #11

Open ThaminaAnjuman opened 8 years ago

This issue is related to the task of numbering consecutive statements appearing in a given section of a questionnaire. When adding or extracting statements, the ids have to be renumbered to reflect the change. This can be time consuming to renumber all statements ids when simply adding or taking away a statement (if you've missed one out accidently or incorrectly identified something as a statement). Is there a quicker way to to complete this function without manually editing each id?

This also applies to qi's and consequently qc's.

An update on this issue...

Would it be possible to be presented with a dropdown menu when labelling any construct (e.g. statements, questions, conditions), so that users can see which constructs have already been given that label, and know which roman numeral (_i, _ii, etc) they should use next to make the label unique?

This would be helpful as if you're editing a label and it has knock-on effects on other labels, it can be time consuming to fix on the current interface. For example, some questionnaires have 20+ conditions that are labelled after the same question, and so it can be quite time consuming to figure out which roman numeral you need to add next.
