Create tests to validate US1 #7

Effort: 4-5 hrs Dependencies: #4 and #5

Acceptance criteria:

Find file(s) needed to be modified
Add tests to cover the new functionality
Pass all current and new test cases

Update: During development we found out that it doesn't make sense for one team member to develop and then another team member to test, so this issue got absorbed into #4 and #5.
