General Cleanup #65

Description This PR is intended to generally clean up the repository to prepare it for publication. This includes proofreading documentation, creating examples, and completing TODOs remaining in the code.

TODOs

[x] Proofread existing documentation.
[x] Create end-to-end examples for users and developers to get started with.
[x] Complete outstanding TODOs.

@ryanmrichard This PR is the current progress of cleaning everything up for publication. There are a few TODOs still left in the documentation for me to complete, but I think this is close enough to start being reviewed. I think the parts that need the most scrutiny right now are docs/source/getting_started/example_project.rst, docs/source/getting_started/initial_setup.rst, and examples/cmakepplang_example.

@ryanmrichard This PR should be r2g after the CMakeTest issues are resolved in CMakeTest PR #65.
