Incorrect architecture on MacOS 13.2.1. Macbook Pro M2 Max #139

Hi, I just installed Max 8.5.3. I am running MacOS Ventura 13.2.1 on a Macbook Pro M2 Max.

I downloaded the CNMAT externals and it seems like none of them work. Did I do something wrong or is there an incompatibility issue? In the Max console is says, for example, "interleave: could not lad due to incorrect architecture." and it says that with every CNMAT object I tried to load.

Did you download the CNMAT externals from the Max/MSP package manager?

Hi,

No. I went to the CNMAT gighub and didn't see Apple Silicon In the Max forum someone posted this link: https://github.com/CNMAT/CNMAT-Externs/releases/tag/v1.0.4d

I'll try that. Seems like it's what I need.

@smomid Preferably, you should install Max externals from Max's own package manager, which contains the latest stable release compiled for all architectures. The Github release referenced above is slightly older than the version submitted to the Max Package Manager (https://github.com/CNMAT/CNMAT-Externs/releases/tag/v1.0.5), but should be largely the same. There are some CNMAT External objects that cannot be distributed through the package manager due to licensing conflicts and it is left to the end-user to compile the full release to gain access to those objects (see instructions by scrolling down at https://github.com/CNMAT/CNMAT-Externs)
