filtering noise requests #25

From Ed:

1. External noise sources: please modify filtering noise patch to allow for selection between the noise source (default) and a possible incoming signal from signalX. I would want signalX sends on all mu29 patches — can’t remember where we are on that one.

2. MTOF functionality (40-60 notes): Can we take the filtering noise patch and create a hybrid that arranges the multisliders with center frequencies that are in equal temperament across the range of a keyboard say from MIDI 24 —96 (six octaves 72 sliders?? Then a user can call up notes on the synth and build chords in relationship with other audio tracks. This should have a visual representation of a keyboard showing where the notes are and then a “clear” button that would erase all playing frequencies. I can demonstrate if need be.

What frequency am I editing?: this functionality would give user more info as they're editing

For first, enable possibility to send in other signal from outside for analysis and resynthesis/filtering. for possible hybrid: lay out the frequency bands from 30-8000 hertz in a keyboard tuned way, such that a student can pick out certain Notes/bands and match that to some other music playing. The interface here needs to be big enough so that a student could pick several frequency peaks to build up a “chord” over the space.

From MG:

know what freq you’re at with GUI less freq’s, or a way to “zoom in” more information as you mouse around w/r/t where you are, what freqs, etc.

@EdmundCampion : Do you need any of these requests fulfilled? If so, I'll need to build a new set of standalones for this particular app.

Too big a job now --- but don't discard this case---
