cnmat.o.sinusoids~2 #102

Hi all,

I'm cleaning up the 158A materials for next edition (taking the styles away and doing some small maintenance tasks). What should we do with the cnmat.o.sinusoids~ and cnmat.o.sinusoids~2 ? The latter is the working one, the former is not very good, but is all over the materials.

I was thinking that I'd replace all cnmat.o.sinusoids~ objects with cnmat.o.sinusoids~2, but the name of the object might be confusing to the students. Should we give it another name or just name the cnmat.o.sinusoids~2 --> cnmat.o.sinusoids~? And then get rid of the old version since it's not really working?

There should only be one active cnmat.o.sinusoids~. Does the 2 function in all the uses we have?

Yes, cnmat.o.sinusoids~2 is in my experience an updated and refined version of the cnmat.o.sinusoids~.

The previous version should be replaced with the new one in the Music and Computing package? Then the o.bufferfill~ needs to be put in there as well. I guess I should not be doing this, but it's in Jeff's domain?

@Pulmunen11 - Github uses markdown which allows you to format based on little character shortcuts. One of the rules is that if you use enclosing tildes (~), you intend for that piece of text to get crossed out. ~like this~ .

I can look into updating cnmat.o.sinusoids2.maxpat to be cnmat.o.sinusoids.maxpat.

BTW - where does cnmat.o.sinusoids2.maxpat live?

@equilet I think the sinusoids2 was sent by email by Rama. I'm attaching here the whole folder including the bufferfill. sinusoids2.zip
