Yes, it could be made more user-friendly. Here’s how:
Tooltip on Hover: When you hover your mouse over the day and week information, a small box should appear. This box would give more details about the game's date.
Visual Cues: The background or the color of the time indicator should change throughout the day. It could transition from light to dark to represent the passage of time, just like in real life.

That's a good idea. Especially adding a change from bright in the morning to gradually dark at night on the UI can allow users to more accurately understand the passage of time.
A very good idea. Adding this function will indeed make it easier for players to grasp time.
I think this feature can be improved further: The system should automatically remind players each week what their current game goals are, such as launching the first version of the game or reaching user numbers. This will remind players of what goals they must complete this week.
Take my personal experience as an example. When I played this game for the first time, I didn’t even know a game goal. So as time passed by week 2, the game automatically game over. I was very confused, so I thought the system reminded the player.
In the screenshot, there are a feature (red box) used to remind the user what day of the week it is and what week. However, I think that reminding the user of the date (e.g. day 1, day 10) is more straightforward and easier to understand. This is because new users often only notice the day of the week and not the day of the week (which doesn't help them much). This new feature will help users notice the passing of each day in the game and make smarter decisions to achieve higher scores.
