Diagnostic: Spatial Spin-up #87

Describe the diagnostic you would like: Model2Ref -> The spatial spin-up of a model by comparing the model to its driving model.

Required data & variables Using precipitation data.

Example See notebook in the wout branch.

@wdewettin I have started to have a look at the spatial spinup for your runs. See the notebook on your branch. To continue I would need them all on the same grid together with ERA-5. Have you been able to reggrid them already? Ideally to the ERA-5 gird but if only to the CLIMATE_GRID grid that is fine to start with too.

@kobebryant432 I have looked at the notebook and it looks very interesting!

Concerning the regridding, I have currently only regridded the data to the 5km lat-lon grid of the CLIMATE_GRID. This also only covers the domain of Belgium and I suppose you might need the data on the full simulation domain to consider the spatial spin-up?

You can find that data here: /dodrio/scratch/projects/2022_200/project_output/RMIB-UGent/vsc45263_wout/DYDOCASE/analysis/long/level0?/regridding/belgium_5km_latlon/output/ with subdirectories for precipitation and temperature.
