Related to #1178 - trying to cleanup the UI as well as avoid superfluous DB updates when running via script.
These seem like safe assumptions to make, in terms of comparing column data types. Likely could be more of these types of allowances to add, which I've not encountered yet..
Looks like it's part of deprecating ubuntu-18.04 as an actions environment. I bumped it to 20.04 but wouldn't be surprised if that requires some new cleanup.
