I don't understand the purpose of the lines:

This animation corresponds to a set of 3 simple animations:
 - **Mixed Layer Depth**
 - Sea Surface Temperature 
 - Sea Surface Salinity

This is the MLD example. Then why just mention the MLD?

seems like I can't add you as reviewer? @aidanheerdegen is it some org/repo rights issue? will it be possible to give me as much super-powers as you think is appropriate in this organisation? (probably to others also...)
