Might be a good idea to add a CITATION.cff file - see https://docs.github.com/en/repositories/managing-your-repositorys-settings-and-features/customizing-your-repository/about-citation-files

Could refer to the GMD paper https://doi.org/10.5194/gmd-13-401-2020 and/or the zenodo DOI https://doi.org/10.5281/zenodo.2653246, though these are both a bit out of date now.
