1) What did you work on this past iteration (2 weeks)?

• Connected main frontend components to Redux and setup async calls to fetch data from backend for Landing Page, User Dashboard, Account Page, Generate Recommendation Page, Destination Page, and Activity Page
• Helped Weichong with Questionnaire Flow components
• Finalized styling of frontend components, made components responsive
• Fixed bugs (race conditions, etc.) and refactored code smells to match best practices

2) What were any major issues/challenges you ran into?

• Since the backend team was also changing/making progress on their endpoints, sometimes the Swagger UI (endpoint and DB schema documentation) was outdated, so I was trying to fetch outdated endpoints/dereference outdated models.

3) What do you plan to work on for this coming iteration (2 weeks)? N/A

1) What did you work on this past iteration (2 weeks)?

• Created guards in place to prevent unauthorized access of pages when URL of the page is manually entered regardless of signed in/ logged out
• Implemented page redirection to navigate users between pages to enhance ease of user-flow and increase user accesibility
• Implemented Redux-Persist in order to have the redux store state be persisted throughout new tabs, new windows, as long as the user specifies that they want to have their account status "remember me" upon login, whilst still having checks in place such that regardless of remember status, will log the user out if the token has expired
• Implemented the "remember me" functionality using token technology to persist user status throughout different windows/ sessions as long as the user's logged in token is valid
• Ensure that users that did not complete the question process will be directed to the Question stepper process prior to allowing them access to the User Dashboard or the Generate Destination pages
• Solving issue regarding navbar styling due to issues with import libraries in new component

2) What were any major issues/challenges you ran into?

• Coordinating the different work that everyone was doing, having to branch off of prior commits due to issues with later versions was something that impeded the progress for me.
• Having issues locally that were hard to reproduce on other teammates computers

3) What do you plan to work on for this coming iteration (2/3 weeks)?

• Sit back and relax :)

1) What did you work on this past iteration (2 weeks)?

• Cleaned up and debugged endpoints, connecting endpoints to DB
• Restructured MongoDB schemas to match front-end requirements (cross coordination with Ronin and Sherman to make sure everything was easy for them to use)
• Continued to expand on the SwaggerUI documentation adding testable examples and various error code handling
• Added new endpoints for deleting a users destination and login
• Greatly improved error handling and error messaging (including correct status codes)
• Added greater complexity to the recommendation generator endpoint
• Managed frontend and backend deployments
• Managed team communication and the final sprint, assigning tasks and requesting updates on various requirements.
• Created all the README documentation and final presentation slide deck
• Connected the Question stepper to the backend endpoints and added visual components to the success page in React.
• Populated the database with all the data using a simple scraping tool I built in Python (this was for the destinations and associated activities in particular).
• Helped unblock teammates working with the redux state (particularly Sherman on the login)

2) What were any major issues/challenges you ran into?

• I found working with SwaggerUI to be challenging as YAML can be quite painful to work with (it's very particular). In the future, I'm more likely to use their JSON object versions of formatting the required input information for their OpenAPI.
• Misalignment in the understanding of requirements led to some issues around what the frontend team expected from the server. This issue was however quickly resolved with SwaggerUI and some minor changes to the schemas and endpoint structure.
