v3 API should provide better AOI subscription support

The current v2 API and draft v3 API only allow users to set AOI subscription status during AOI creation.

[x] AOI endpoint responses should include subscription status.
[x] User should be able to change subscription status via the API (e.g., PATCH).

Definitely agreed this is something we should have. Added to v3 of the API.
