As a user of our covid visualization, I would like to see how the pandemic unfolded across UIUC and the Champaign-Urbana community and how it compared to the pandemic on a larger scale. Therefore, it is important for all visualizations to be driven by large-scale, specific, and sanitized and cleaned data points for a variety of variables.
Requirements:
Find data on different variables across the covid pandemic (in both local CU communities as well as on a larger, national or global scale)
Find a way to export data into commonly usable formats (CSV, JSON, etc)
Verify data source, identify any known biases, and make a note of potential leanings that data collection may carry
Identify desirable data variables we would like to have (eg: various aspects of campus engagement) but that we can't find, and create a survey question or form response that can be used for us to collect data.
A large summary of covid reports pertaining to university planning; I spent like 5 mins scrolling and found some very interesting numbers with regards to classrooms used, sanitizing equipment quantities, facility changes, etc... will be some cherry-picking but it sure is valuable
