A good mockup is a very useful tool in helping us make a skeleton of what our final visualization will be like. With some great ideas already coming from the meeting, a mockup will help guide us when we actually start to make our visualizations with real data as a part of our report. Current parts of the mockup include:
A timeline component showing the progression of various statistics of the pandemic through time
A word cloud of massmails during a selected period of time, allowing users to see what words and themes become more and less common as the pandemic went on
A settings option/menu, allowing users to set which statistics they want displayed or highlighted particularly
A quick facts sheet with statistics and data that we can find on the pandemic as it unfolded at UIUC
