Wednesday Hackathon / Extension / D3 Study Group

Hello class,

• There will be NO class today.
• The hackathon will be held on Wednesday 5:15pm in the lobby space of ATLAS.
• Due to popular demand, we will extend the deadline of the week 8 D3 challenge to before the class on Wednesday.
• Given that several students had trouble with D3, we will organize an official study group today during the normal class time (5:15 - 7:45pm) at the same location (ATLAS 2nd floor lounge). If you need help, show up, and help each other learn and complete the challenges.
• This week's (week 9) learning challenge, again, will involve D3. Also, for the first time, the learning challenge will be group based. More details will be released on Wednesday.

@CSCI-4830-002-2014/students, I recently spoke with Tom about the fact that many of us will be attending the "The Internet's Own Boy" documentary and panel discussion tonight during the time that our class is usually scheduled, and as such, many of us won't be able to attend the study group for D3 even though we'd like to. He has graciously offered to host another study group some other time this week, and would like to know when and where would be best for us. Thanks so much Austin, this helps my conflict of interest problem (wanting to help some of you guys while also making sure I am on time at the panel)
