This is just preliminary work for the actual ticket, but I think this should be tested and put into develop so that related work like https://jira.eduuni.fi/browse/CSCFC4EMSCR-480 and https://jira.eduuni.fi/browse/CSCFC4EMSCR-477 and https://jira.eduuni.fi/browse/CSCFC4EMSCR-475 can be based on this
