BUG: Extra space under footer

What happened?

There is an extra amount of white space below the footer section on the homepage of the website. This extra space creates unnecessary scrolling and makes the webpage appear longer than it actually is.

Steps to Reproduce:

Visit the homepage of the website. Scroll down to the bottom of the page. Observe the extra white space below the footer section. Expected Result: The footer section should sit at the bottom of the viewport, with no extra space below it.

Actual Result: There is extra white space below the footer section.

I'd love to tackle the extra space bug under the footer! My HTML/CSS/Bootstrap skills can fix it.

Let me know if I can be assigned this task under gssoc.
