Discussed items needed for game
Discussed concept for the game
Game Idea: Trebuchet Trouble
--On PC--
-Battleship style grid with letters and #s (D5, etc)
-Medieval setting, meaning castle models, walls, and UI themed as such
-X amount of towers are in the castle walls on the grid, each die with 1 hit
-Fog shrouds the grid, hiding the randomly placed towers
-Win condition: kill all the towers
--IRL--
-player loads a ball or object into a catapult/ trebuchet
-player aims the launcher at a box X distance away
-launcher shoots ball into box
-pressure sensors in box relay to PC where player hit
--gameplay loop--
-If player hits tower, PC tells player they got hit and displays how many towers left
-if player misses but is close to tower, fog rolls away to reveal tile indicating a close miss
-close miss tiles range from yellow to red
-if player makes very wide miss, fog is cleared on that tile but shows nothing else
Setbacks:
-Figuring out how to transmit data from IRL to PC
Plans:
-Draft the game in unity
-Acquire material list to send to professors
Progress:
