Cannot edit properly; keeps crashing (Linux Mint 20.3 Cinnamon) #36

Distro: Linux Mint 20.3 Una Desktop Environment: Cinnamon Issue: Whenever I run Photoshop, I attempt to edit a file, but I cannot do so properly because the file doesn't show up in full. Either only a segment of the Photoshop home screen appears, fragments of the picture, or a combination of both. Sometimes, I can briefly increase or decrease the number of fragments of the picture in question on screen by pressing a button that causes the portion of the Photoshop interface dedicated to displaying the pic to change its location (even if only for a little bit), or by selecting portions of the image via tools like "Lasso."

However, most times, it just crashes, either on startup, or after using something like the Object Selection tool in Ps. I also have found that I cannot manipulate the sizes of several different segments of the Ps interface, like the one dedicated to showing you tutorials for things like picture editing and painting within Adobe Photoshop. Usually, when I restart the system, I can get Photoshop to start up normally at first, but then afterwards, after closing it once (or having it close by itself via crashes), it'll then crash every subsequent time I try to open it.

update: managed to have the picture stop fragmenting for long enough (by pressing the home button after clicking the picture and then re-selecting the image) that I was able to use tools like "Select" and "Magnetic Lasso" on it without problem. However, once I used Object Selection, it immediately crashed, and now I am unable to open it up again.

Hello @vielkanka , I recommend you try the new Photoshop version, I released around 5 min ago, because I optimize some things. I hope it works better for you.

Hello @CSMarckitus Thank you for updating the project. Sadly, even the updated version doesn't seem to work for me. It either just refuses to open, even after I have restarted my system, or it does open, but crashes soon after I try making a new file. Plus, when the latter does occur, the home screen fails to show up. Still though, thank you very much for trying to fix this issue in the first place. I appreciate it very much
