Looks like it got posted by @Ryan Lau , but the count is much smaller. 03/30/2020.csv was 3440 rows 03/31/2020.csv is 2435 rows Example, Highland Virginia is missing.
Here is a list of the missing rows. All US based cities.
Summary of discrepancy: 14 new cities/row entries 1019 cities removed from US
CSV file that has all missing cities from the 3-31-2020.csv https://re.tc/03-31-2020-missing-cities_csv
This may not be an issue. In spot checking (not important enough for me to verify completely) this, it looks like the cities removed had zero cumulative cases to date.
If I was a betting man, John Hopkins was trying to reduce the record count by removing zero count cities.
Someone else can prove my hypothesis if it's more important to them than me. :)
As this wasn't the automated job, manually committed, probably just forgotten. Reducing by 1k rows is little size saving, as these rows will return as these counties get cases.
Hi, the data on the map just has gone due the last update , what just changed in the last update ??
I am only looking at Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Louisiana. And there are some counties missing. https://rpubs.com/Rdam/covid_baton_rouge_31 Makes since to remove zero counts, but remember that < 5 cases is not reported also. Per HIPAA patient privacy .
@JaminShanti US missing data is mentioned in issue https://github.com/CSSEGISandData/COVID-19/issues/1882 and is more up to date. Please close due to duplicate.
@oltdaniel this issue ticket is for March 31st data.
