testing and hospitalization rates missing?! #2274

Since 4/15, all data on testing rate and hospitalization rate have been removed. Is it possible to put them back on? I am in the middle of a project and the disappearance of these variables kill my projects. PLEASE! Even if you can release one day in late March and one day in April, it would be extremely helpful! Thanks!

I believe that what you are referring to happened in error; those data were not intended to be part of JHU's Daily Reports. See issue: #2146

If my memory serves, the data were US specific. If US data is all you are after, then the good news is that JHU has created a new folder containing hospitalization and testing rates HERE.

I also maintain a cleaned repo of these data (if you want to avoid data cleaning) HERE

Thank Lucas. I saw the state level data as well. They are not as fine as the FIP level, which is what I hope to get. Hm, need to rethink what one can do with state level.

Are you working on some sort of analysis using the state level data? Would love to hey know of your arts.

and , is there time series for the state level data? It seems only started on 4/12. But knowing how things unfold since early March could be interesting.

Personally, I'm focusing on Canada so I haven't played with the state data myself. I doubt there is any data before 4/12 on hospitalization and tests from JHU. ALthough, I'm sure there are other sources. The CDC is probably your best bet: https://www.cdc.gov/coronavirus/2019-ncov/covid-data/covidview/index.html

You may consider closing this issue to help the folks at JHU from being overwhelmed. :)
