Alabama publishes possible backlogged data (csse_covid_19_daily_reports_us) #3963

Hi all,

Alabama has published some backlogged data, it seems.

Date | Confirmed Cases | Case Difference 11/04/2021 | 518899 | 311 12/04/2021 | 519071 | 172 13/04/2021 | 520503 | 1432

Checked on https://www.alabamapublichealth.gov/covid19/ for any notifications, so far I did not see anything.

Hello,

Thank you for bringing this to our attention. Alabama now has a note if you go to the "Data and Surveillance" Tab on their dashboard. I'll reproduce it here:

"The Alabama Department of Public Health (ADPH) processed a backlog of 1150 COVID-19 cases from two facilities on 04/12/21. These will be classified as 96 confirmed cases and 1054 probable cases reported on 04/13/21 even though the tests were performed during October 22, 2020 to April 7, 2021. 1138 out of 1150 cases are residents of Mobile County."

I'll leave this issue open so others can see it but document the backlog of cases in our README.
