In JHU data, New Jersey's case total has been reduced by 9,005 on April 26, 2021. That matches the state's dashboard. Has anyone seen an explanation from the state?

Also, the number of cases for 4/26 being reported on your web dashboard differs from the number reflected in the repo today.

Looks like this could be the issue: https://www.nj.com/coronavirus/2021/04/nj-covid-updates-outdoor-capacities-to-increase-indoor-proms-can-have-dancing-heres-the-latest-april-27-2021.html

In addition, the state’s communicable disease service medical director, Dr. Ed Lifshitz, announced the state identified more than 10,000 duplicate cases from its total tally over the last 14 months thanks to an automated review. So the state’s total number of confirmed cases actually dropped from 874,895 on Sunday to 865,700 on Monday.

Hello @anthonydb and @wellsangels,

We were able get in contact with the state and @wellsangels is accurate. The issue is the removal of duplicate cases, approximately 10,400 per the state. We're asking if there exists data we could use for a back distribution.

Hello all,

As an update, we unfortunately need to notify that New Jersey does not have appropriate internal data for us to remove this negative spike. The negative delta will persist.
